Llangollen with Crosby Rambling Club.

On Sunday I was out with Crosby Rambling Club when we visited Llangollen.

From the main car park we crossed the bridge over the River Dee and passed the train station to follow the towpath along the Llangollen canal. 272 ord igjen

A perfect afternoon for a short wander in the woods – the sunshine’s warm but the air’s cool. There’s lots of colour in the woodland – spring-green leaves, wild (and feral) flowers everywhere – and a comma butterfly which thought it might hitch a lift on my boot… 14 ord igjen


Ripley, Surrey

There aren’t many lakes around here, but I saw one on the map near Ripley. You can walk all the way round but I just went half-way round before diverting to a path through fields and on to the River Wey Navigation. 77 ord igjen

UBC Reconciliation Pole

The other day at UBC, I visited the Reconciliation Pole.

It is so majestic, against the dramatic sky.
