På kvällskvisten gick jag och Karro ut. Mötte upp en snubbe på 54.an.. Hade trevligt å så:) Killen jobba på Kronobergs häktet och skämtet om att vi skulle ses dagen därpå hade planterats. Jag är påväg ut i det fria efter en stökig utekväll och han är påväg in till jobbet. Värst av allt var att han skratta gott åt detta medens både jag och Karro mycket väl visste att detta inte var något att skämta om eftersom att detta kunde hände på riktigt. Inte helt omöjligt med andra ord. Men sagt och gjort, killen drar sig tillbaka hem och vi fortsätter våran ute kväll. Jag blir bara fullare och fullare.. Tillslut minns ja inget längre. Tydligen så hamna vi på något ställe där världens hetaste bartender jobbade. Jag beställde drink efter drink och tillslut satt och Karro i en egen liten bar praktiskt taget. Inget jag har något minne av dock. Men efter varje beställning fick jag ett kvitto som jag försökte kladda ner mitt mobilnr på. Lyckat Tezza, lyckat. Vet inte vad jag trodde riktigt. Att bartendern skulle tycka att jag va riktigt het när jag rangla fram där stup i kvarten och bad om påfyllning dreglandes på en sluddrig och näst intill oförståerlig svenska. Säkert!

Tillslut hade Karro inte orken att hålla ordning på mig så hon fixa en taxi hem. Kalla taxi chauffören för jävla idiot tydligen, varför vet jag inte men nått hade han säkert gjort den fan. Vaknade dagen därpå och mår som skit. Har ringt halva telefonboken som vanligt. Fan, jävla skämmigt... Orkar inte ens ringa upp och kolla vad jag sagt till dem. Hitta ett massa skräp i min väska när jag letade efter mobilen också. Hitta en sjuhelvetes massa skräp där i. Hade tydligen försökt "städa" lite på puben där den heta bartendern jobba, för att impa? vet inte, men troligen.."suck".. jag är ju fan dum i huvudet. Det va alltså inte långt ifrån att jag skulle hamna på Kronoberg. Nu är jag hemma igen, tycker så jävla synd om mig själv för så här tokbakis har ja inte vart på länge. Jag kan inte ens fyllekäka, mår så jäkla illa... fy fan. Men ska sova nu en svängom och sen ska jag banne mig beställa pizza=)

its no such secret that i'm enamored with all things yves.  at some point i wished to exude, if not be him, for sake of being a creative visionary myself though my maturation into current genius led to an even more satisfying infatuation with oneself.  yet, its through conditioned response; some operand learning that one draws inspiration in producing "original" works so where do the gents i admire seek influence?

well, i can't help but wonder if ysl's current creative director, stefano pilati, found inspiration in the original rubber band man, bootsy collins, with spring's praised bezzles.  bootsy, baby!.. whom knew your certified genius would perhaps influence a praised collection decades later?  just a thought.

Hello my name is...

Haha, the name is plain ol' Stephanie meaning "crowned one."

Standing there, gazing at many of the looks, I wanted to try them on. They looked like they'd actually fit me. Especially an Evening Ensemble from 1968 that consisted of a belted black tunic and black pants, that was made to order for Jane Fonda and Diana Vreeland among others.

It was cool to see the Mondrian dresses and a burgundy-ish wool jersey jumpsuit (all from the 60s). Considering they're both big again. I saw some Mondrian inspired dresses at Simons last week.

There was a beautiful black velvet gown with a pink satin bustier that tied at the back in a big bow. Which made me think of WendyB. It wasn't a butt bow unfortunately. There was also this awesome black cape of rooster feathers. It was like having your own set of wings.

One last highlight. There was another Evening Ensemble (from 1992) that stayed with me. Not because it was something I'd wear. But because of the use of colours. Everything was in satin. The dress' skirt was in a light pink and the top was in yellow. The sash at the waist was in hot pink and the coat/cape was a lime green. And yet the whole outfit wasn't garish at all. The colours all meshed well together and it was beautiful. Something for me to think about since I don't normally do so many colours.

I really want to urge everyone to go take a look at Barneys online store's shoe section, they're having unbelievable sale prices (in the $200 -$300 range) on the best-looking shoes.  But their links are totally mixed up - if I click on the Manolo Blahnik Pumamod picture on their website, it'll lead me to a pair of Givenchy Thong slide.  Not sure what's going on,  only the newest additions to the shoe page seem to have correct links.  Check out the YSL Tribute Sandal in gold from $790 to $315!  If you're a lucky size 7.5 or 9, then grab them quickly before J. Lo does!  (Recently saw a picture of her walking down the stairs with the Tribute sandal while carrying her baby.  If you ask me, I would say don't try that at home!)

today at work, i have spent almost the whole time clicking away looking at what people have bought and feeling so so sour and now i am back home and i am STILL clicking away trying to finish the whole of Fall/Winter 2008 i want to spend my life doing all these picking out my favourites and saving them all to my computer though most of the times i get lazy i just end up saving one or two well i love fashion superficial or not (i need that ysl white shirt the details are a m a z i n g) (ok then lets just include a few more marni bags and shoes and another ysl bag, i guess that'll be all. I have written up my Financial Plan, Income&Expenditure, i hope i Work It. really need to learn what are my priorities and what's not - this does not included wanting/needing a bag over shoes or vice versa. I am too lazy to update about HongKong just that it was awesome ok a break down on where we went and what did we do for each of the days:

i suck as a travel blogger i can't even remember what we did and i have no photos (ok its my laziness)! i know one day we had PizzaHut for dinner and the last day we had Popeye's for dinner at the airport (till we were almost late for our flight! and we laughed at the flight attendant: ShowTime! and she arm-chioed back) and one day we had very expensive Ben&Jerry's! ok forget it i'd be better off going back to my clicking and watching my runway shows! cannot wait for wakeboarding!/floorball!/school!

THE art collection of Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé is to be sold in Paris by Christie's auction house.

Saint Laurent died last month, aged 71. He and Mr. Bergé, who co-founded the Yves Saint Laurent couture house in 1961, amassed a collection of artworks that is believed to be worth as much as $599 million, according to the Art Newspaper.

After the legendary designer's death at the beginning of June, Berge told WWD that he intended to auction the collections, and now it could be as soon as February next year, with half the proceeds going to the Yves Saint Laurent and the Pierre Bergé Foundation and the other to Berge, who was joined with Saint Laurent in a civil ceremony shortly before his death.

With everything from works by Matisse and Goya and furniture from Eileen Gray and Pierre Chareau at Saint Laurent's Rue de Babylone residence to the Renaissance pieces at Berge's Paris apartment.

The specific date and contents of the sale have yet to be announced, London-based Christie's said.

The blouse is from Tofu in Covent Garden, the skirt is from Warehouse, the shoes are vintage YSL and the new face is courtesy of Julie Verhoeven.

The it bag is dead. In this age of skyrocketing prices for gas, food and living one can't afford to waste time with disposable accessories. Whatever you invest in it has to last more than a season. Better yet it has to last forever - which means no dangling padlocks, industrial strength chains or any other additional ornamentation that will move from trendy to tragic within the span of six months.

One designer who has realized this need for bags that cross the seasons is Stefano Pilati of YSL. Under his direction the company has produced some of the most memorable and successful bags of the past few years - in part because the purses themselves aren't tied to any one trend. Handbags like the ever present Muse, Besace or Catwalk look as cool today as they did when they were released because they manage to be both attractive and functional.

The latest arresting creation from YSL is the Totem bag - its structured yet slouchy shape and decadent materials (croc, ostrich, patent leather) are sure to turn a few heads and in a year or two when the bag is nicely worn in its sure to turn even more. The pricetag may be hefty but this is one piece that is sure to stand the test of time.

There is an air of cool that runs through the YSL Spring 09 menswear offerings. Though it is not the aloof continental cool of last seasons suave suits and scarves Stefano Pilati has pulled out all the stops, creating a look that is subtly nostalgic yet thoroughly modern. Instead of sticking to any one era Pilati runs the gamut from 1950s greaser-chic leather jackets to draping 80s style patched and pinched jodhpurs. The mix is a bold pastiche of eras and influences but such combination suits the already complex temperament of the post-modern man.

The silhouette itself is harsh, leaning towards diametrically opposed proportions. Slim tapered leg trousers are far from flattering and the loose fitting cropped pants verge on frumpy but as with all difficult trends they can be irresistible on the right person. The entire collection radiates an air of sartorial exclusivity. On the wrong man the glittering cardigans and casual moccasins could seem too feminine or simply discordant but when paired with the appropriate personality they can be perfection.

But who is this YSL man of mystery? Save a few discerning dandies and slight rakes I'm hard pressed to think of men daring enough to wear the entire look as shown. Pieces were of course meant to be mixed into the greater portion of a wardrobe so there will be ways to bring elements of the Marcello Mastroianni meets Ian Curtis feel of the collection into everyday life without falling into the trap of catwalk caricature.

mais oser avec les accessoires, comme une belle paire de lunettes, des repettos dorée, ou tout simplement piquer la chemise de son Jules et surtout ne pas oublier de la ceinturer!

Manier les contrastes

avec légereté, ici l'art de la parisienne est de mixer les pièces vintages piquées dans la vieille malle à vêtements de sa grand-mère qui regorge de trésors avec des pièces contemporaines, une robe de créateur et des talons hauts. Manier le cher et le pas cher

Etre amoureuse!! sisi vous avez bien lu!!

et surtout le montrer car Paris est la capitale de l'amour "Paris Je t'aime".

La parisienne est un mélange entre l'élégance et la décontraction. "les étrangers qui repartent de Paris disent tous avoir vu les femmes se déplacer différemment" selon Robert Ebguy sociologue et directeur de recherche au CCA centre de communication avancée "elles marchent de façon fluide ça les rend élégantes comme ça l'air de rien. Féminines elles n'hésitent pas à emprunter aussi à l'identité masculine"

Aussi brouiller les codes comme l'avait fait Yves saint Laurent avec le smoking tel est le style de la parisienne.

Pour les créatrices de Heimstone les parisiennes ne vont pas tenter des tenues folles toute la journée comme le font les londonnienes mais elle aiment être joli et se sentir a l'aise d'où les marques comme Comptoir des Cotonniers

At Roger Vivier, where the couture shoes have become an ever-more-complex distillation of craftsmanship into foot architecture embellished with flowers and feathers, the designer Bruno Frisoni created his own YSL commemoration: black shoes with a flat bow on the front and a re-creation of the wheat sheaves that were symbolically put on the late couturier's coffin.
