Stewart suggests that the more appropriate response from Sen. Barack Obama, D-Illinois -- rather than being offended (or saying the cover "fueled some misconceptions about me," as he did on CNN last night) -- would be to have said "Barack Obama is in no way upset about the cartoon that depicts him as a Muslim extremist. Because you know who gets upset about cartoons? Muslim extremists! Of which Barack Obama is not. It's just a f---ing cartoon!"

Something scratched at my memory this morning and had me hunting through my vast CD collection, to find a CD I bought whilst in San Francisco.

America - Hourglass

I bought this CD after hearing the track 'You can do magic' and I just loved that song. I stayed in San Francisco for 3 weeks for the first time, ten years ago. That was actually the first time I had flown to America and I had the most amazing holiday. I even fulfilled the dream of visiting Alcatraz and riding on a cable car - that was fun!

Whenever I hear this song, it reminds me of the fun time I had....I heard this track for the first time on that holiday.

It was a wild time, was San Francisco ~grin~

This video has you run the full gamut of feelings.  It proves that life is full of success, failures, top performers and athletes that literally fall short of their goal.

Nike has always had a way of making us think, feel and wonder what could be.

Segundo informações da Delegacia da Mulher de Santarém (PA), há dois meses duas menores de idade, uma de 13 e outra de 15 anos, mantiveram relações sexuais com quatro homens, um deles menor de idade, em um motel da cidade. A relação foi registrada em vídeo e divulgada na internet. Uma das menores teve acesso ao vídeo e registrou queixa na delegacia.

A menor de 15 anos ainda não foi ouvida pela polícia. Um dos adolescentes identificado no vídeo compareceu à delegacia nesta sexta-feira (18) e prestou depoimento. Ele estava acompanhado da advogada.

O artigo 240 do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA) prevê que é crime "produzir ou dirigir representação teatral, televisiva, cinematográfica, atividade fotográfica ou de qualquer outro meio visual, utilizando-se de criança ou adolescente em cena pornográfica, de sexo explícito ou vexatória". A pena é reclusão, de dois a seis anos, e multa. O Código Penal prevê em seu artigo 218 o crime de corrupção de menores: "Corromper ou facilitar a corrupção de pessoa maior de 14 e menor de 18 anos, com ela praticando ato de libidinagem, ou induzindo-a a praticá-lo ou presenciálo". A pena prevista é de reclusão, de um a quatro anos.

(17/07/2008)  Il più famoso di tutti i myspacer dice addio alla sua vita sul web e annuncia il suo cambiamento di sesso: "Io sono il primo Chris Crocker e molto presto sarà la prima Christine Crocker".

Dopo aver scioccato il web con le sue lacrime pro-Britney, dopo aver scandalizzato la rete con i suoi video di nudo integrale e dopo essere stato sdoganato in un video musicale, Chris Crocker, idolo virtuale del millennio corrente, decide di lasciare, postando sul proprio MySpace il seguente messaggio:

"(...) A volte non voglio più essere Chris Crocker, ma succede solo quando mi guardo attraverso gli occhi degli altri. (...) Sorridi a chi ti odia, mostragli quanto sono belli i tuoi denti...e se il tuo sorriso gli fa venire la voglia di darti un pugno sui denti saprai di possedere il potere. E, cosa più importante, conosci i tuoi diritti. Ricorda che hai il diritto di essere chi vuoi. (...) Non vi arrabbiate se non pubblico nuovi video. Capisco che alcuni di voi sono miei fan, ma non sono il vostro schiavo. Faccio video qaundo mi sento ispirato, non quando me lo chiedono."

Un messaggio asciutto, chiaro, quasi una lettera con le ultime parole da lasciare ai posteri. Se Chris Crocker dovesse scomparire davvero, cosa penseremo di lui fra qualche anno? Sarà stato uno dei tanti fast-idol masticati e rigettati subito dopo dalla rete? Ci avevano pensato anche i Weezer ad incoronarlo uno dei fenomeni di You Tube facendolo apparire insieme a tutti i più famosi tormentoni del portale, nel loro video musicale "Pork and beans", ma ora Chris sembra averne abbastanza della sua popolarità.

Per poi concludere con un annuncio quantomai inaspettato: "Io sono il primo Chris Crocker...e molto presto sarò la prima Christine Crocker. (...) E ricordate, non è che mi sia stancato. E' che sono una donna felicemente sposata con la testa sulle spalle.". A quanto traspare quindi da ques'ultima dichiarazione, il divo più chiacchierato di My Space, il re di You Tube con il suo "leave Britney alone" diventerà una donna.

Well, obviously it is NOT a full transcript of Obama's remarks. Why?

Obama has said and done a lot of things that I disagree with....sometimes vehemently, but this one takes the cake. A civilian national security organization funded as well as our military? Has he completely lost his mind?

I would love to hear the explanation as to why the remark was left out of the transcripts.....I think it's pretty obvious that someone decided it was NOT the kind of thing most Americans would take kindly to.

Unfortunately for the Obama campaign the video on you tube obviously couldn't be scrubbed.

Get growing with Azure- We bought a 50lb watermelon and stuck it in our garden, which already has some watermelon growing but they only weigh about half a pound.  Then we told Lindsay's 5-year old daughter that I left the sprinkler on ALL night and she was going to be super surprised when she saw what happened.  Well people, don't assume how a 5yr old will react!  She gets up there, looks at the 50lb watermelon and answers our question "what happened in the garden" with "It got all muddy"  it was pretty funny to us, but the video didn't quite capture it.

Let Azure wake up your business - How funny is it to watch someone get awaken during a nap or sunbathing by a huge 5-gallon bucket of water..It's hysterical..or so he thought... Lindsay after an insomnia attack, decided to try it out on me.  It's 2am, I've just fallen asleep and I get an earful of cold water.  The video never had a chance! When I came up with the idea, I meant it would be funny to do to someone else.  Oh well, guess we'll have to try again (this time on Lindsay)
