Matix Tour at Milton Keynes

The Matix European Skateboard Tour will be visiting Milton Keynes Buszy Plaza for a skate demo on Saturday 18th October from 2pm onwards! Featuring plenty of Pro riders including Marc Johnson, Rick McCrank, Brandon Biebel and more. You can then join them (and us) at 9pm in The Brickworks in Oxford just by our shop on Cowley road for some drinking! Over 18's only!

Matix are offering FREE transport and goodies for one lucky winner to the Milton Keynes demo (and home again). To enter please email shop@ss20.com with the answer to this question: Whats the name of the new Lakai Fully Flared Documentary DVD that is due out next month?
Entrants must be over 16 and allowed to travel alone. Please include your name, age and location (must be mainland UK) when entering. The Winner will be announced on Friday 17th October.

Split Apparel Licensee Shutting Doors

Ray Apparel, US licensee of Split Apparel is going out of business but will ship Split products through 2008 and perhaps some of 2009. It appears that Split will be sold to another buyer. Ray Apparel employees were given 60 day notice of the pending closure.

686 does rent space in the same building Rays is located, and they will all manufacture with the same overseas manufacturer for their sportswear product. 686 is not part of the Ray Apparel licensee.

Tony Hawk released a statement saying that he has purchased Birdhouse Skateboards from Blitz Brands, although they will continue to handle distribution. Per Welinder, of Blitz Distribution, said that they will continue to focus on their remaining brands—Baker, Flip, Fury, Sk8mafia, and Hook-Ups.

In other news, I've decided on a whim to create a webcomic. I know nothing about the process but I do have Microsoft Paint and a writing tablet. I feel that is ground enough to justify my impulse.

It's going to be about Romeo and Juliet meeting in hell right after the events of "Romeo and Juliet: The Play". He'll be all like, "Whoa, what are you doing here?" Then she'll be like, "Me? What are you doing here?" Haha. It's gonna be good.

have you ever wanted to show off your skate board trickks to people when your nawt in skytown skate parkk?
no problem(:
if you follow these steps,
you can take tricks from sky town with you anywhere!
in your house, or any place (presto's edge, tanglevine jungle, explorers camp..etc.)
first go to skytown skate park and get out your skateboardd.
i have seven.(:

go across the bridge and to where all the tricks are.
collect a bunch of power ups until your powered up to 10 and cant go any higher.

now, go over a skateboard trick that you dont have in your inventory.

yay! now you have the trick in your inventory in the selection SKATE STUFF(:
you can now take the trickk anywhere and show everyone your awesome moves(:

Hurley Goes Direct Online to Consumers

Barcelona Extreme

This weekend celebrated the first edition of Barcelona Extreme. A sport event with the best riders of skateboard, BMX, inline, FMX, urban jibbing and wakeboard presented their talent to a big audience of 40.000 visitors in two days. The event took place in the forum. Thanks to a friend I got hold of a press identification and so I was able to see some skateboard and inline finals from the top of the half-pipe which was amazing. These guys are really crazy!

Finalmente un altra sapiente grafica appare sulle tavole Strange.

Alcuni di voi l'hanno già vista ma nessuno l'ha ancora skateata.

Questa é una tavola disegnata da Jacopo "Iave" Volpe ancora un anno fa, ma per varie vicessitudini sarà

sotto i vostri piedi solo tra un paio di settimane. La misura é un abbondante 8,125.

Appena arriva vi faccio un fischio.
