And then I realized that when I first brought Sheldon home in December, I never actually gave him a proper Photoshoot. Or any Photoshoot at all, actually. AND SO now that he was once again clean and shiny, I decided to finally treat him to his very own Glamour Shots session:

Howdy folks! Long time no update. Sorry 'bout that. I promise I'll do my best to update more often from now on. (like it's the first time I've ever said that)

Anyway, after weeks of valiant mouse-clicking, the design for my website is complete. Again... I think this is the 5th or 6th version since February. I really really really have to learn to not change it anymore.

A rather unusual sight, even for Bucharest. This is the only shot not taken with the Sigma 18-50 (Tokina 70-210 used instead)

Ok on to what you will need;

1. A willing accomplice, someone to play dead basically.
2. Clothes that the model / friend wont mind getting dirty, ripped etc depends how authentic a look you are going for!
3. Fake Blood of some sort, google it there are loads of recipes.
4. Location markers to highlight potential evidence, I used some blank cards and spray painted them yellow and to make them look more realistic number decals, you could use letters if you wanted or make your own stencils to save money.
5. A suitable location, location is key, sure crime happens everywhere, but find somewhere dark and gritty looking to add an element of realism. In my examples the model happened to know a friend who lived in a squat, we went here for the afternoon and did the shoot in an upstairs room.
6. On camera flash gun
7. Turn off the lights, yeah its a nightmare to focus in the dark but use a torch, partially illuminating the crime scene will make for interesting shadow and hey thats what the professionals do. I hadn't got a choice in this case, there were no lights! So go on test your self!

Why is the title 'The Gracie Effect'?

Just looking at her smile makes you melt..
The Gracie Effect will surely leave an impact in everybody's lives..especially me.. :p

I'm falling for her over and over again..  :)

We had a good time trying out different shots, and I especially focused on taking unique photos of each instructor to highlight their own personalities.

While I was waiting for one of the instructors to put on the one white shirt that someone remember to bring for the photos, I had the chance to sneak in some fun shots of the competition team.

Watching the season premiere of America's Next Top Model last night made me remember how cheesy the show actually is. Starting off in a futuristic model academy where they weeded out the original 12 from, I was actually excited to see Mr. Jay's hair - it was different! Still silver but down, with a crimp! And the next episode had it back to the original.

The girls on the show are so typecast as well. Sheena the crazy Korean/Japanese/Harlem chick who definitely won't get far. An Agyness Duncan wannabe who will have a meltdown in the middle of the series because she's a 'ball of nerves'. A couple of ghetto chicks. A couple of white down South girls and an Alaskan girl who are all freaked out by Isis.

My sweet little Isis. So strong, so courageous, so a publicity stunt for Tyra (who herself mentioned that this is a huge step for the gay, lesbian, and transgender community - are we supposed to believe that she just made that up out of her mouth on the spot?).

For those who hadn't seen it, Isis was born a man, but always felt like a woman and is hoping to get surgery soon to make herself a woman completely. She tucked the peen into her bathing suit like there was no tomorrow. They picked Isis from last season - remember the hobo photoshoot? She was one of the bums in the background.

She knows how to pose and take good pictures, but she's not necessarily the most feminine looking thing.

Do you think Isis will get far in the competition?

Or do you think it's just a publicity stunt for Tyra to get ratings?

As my first ever landscape shoot, and my second time out with the EOS 40D, I'm very happy with the results. Oh, and my driver took some pictures.

Among the many dangers of shooting in central Scotland, such as the inability to find a good café for your mid-afternoon beverage and cake, beware of scotch midgies! The wee buggers drank my arm dry at Loch Arklet.

Summer is coming to an end soon. I move in on the 18th of September into my dorm room, hoping that my room mates are chill. UCLA will be exciting! And hopefully I can still take part in photography while studying Civil Engineering.

I'm going to be doing a wedding rehearsal photoshoot tonight at Costa Mesa in preparation for the actual wedding event on Saturday. I hope that my pictures will come out dandy!

It's a awfully hot day today and all I did was look up things to buy for my fixed gear bicyle and read "Eclipse" by Stephanie Meyers. In an hour I need to get ready to go do the shoot!
