What I Liked:

1. Some good funny moments.

2. Reese's obsession with his dead character and his hatred for the DL because of it, are classic.

What I Didn't Like:

1. Too many jokes relied on gay humor or dick/masturbation jokes.  There's actually not a whole lot of "gamer" humor in this movie. Disappointing.  There are so many ways to poke fun at gamers, but the movie instead also relies too much on odd family situations and the weird jobs the gamers have

2. Some of the gags are too over-the-top or are just cringe-worthy.

"Politically correct" basically means to not offend anyone. It is impossible to never offend anyone, it is however very possible to go out of ones way every day to try and never offend anyone. This seems to be the major goal most politically correct people shoot for. Personally I find this to be a censorship of sorts. There is virtually nothing you can say, that won't offend someone, therefore you are limited to talking about things such as the weather, or how many stars are in the sky, no real opinions, or views could ever be expressed in a politically correct society. If I were to say to you: "In general black people can run faster,jump higher,and eat more chicken than most any other race out there." It would be considered very politically in-correct. Why? Well to assert that one race(mainly African American,Hispanic,Asian) is in any way different from a Caucasian, is in some peoples' opinion racist. Personally I find it racist to even think that way. Why? Well when you think like that your automatically targeting, and separating that race based on there abilities, and ethnicity, like that is a reason to handicap them.

Political correctness would never work because I find the philosophy offensive. Thats right, I honestly find it offensive. That goes to prove it would never work; if a philosophy, or practice's whole goal is to not offend anyone, at anytime, and that same practice offends some, then the whole idea is struck down completely. Not a very strong idea if you ask me. Is the practice of not offending people(when possible) good? Yes, its great, but when you go overboard with it, it becomes an obstacle of free speech. When I say free speech I don't mean you should be able to say anything you want without any consequences at all. I believe their should be freedom of speech as long as your not imposing on the rights of others. I.e say your at the local Mc donald's drive thru, and you take forever ordering while the driver behind you starts to get more, and more angry. If freedom of speech was absolute, then that driver could walk up to your window and tell you that since you pissed him off he's going to rape your child. As long as he never actually did that, it would be completely legal to express that thought(in a politically correct society). That's why there are boundaries to this freedom. When that driver told you that, he is imposing on your personal rights. Firstly he is communicating threats, and secondly he is using words that you find offensive in the order he placed them. If he came up to your window and said "my daughter was kidnapped and raped, keep a good eye on your child." You wouldn't find that offensive. Why? Because he wasn't directing a vulgar threat towards your child. Sentence structure alone can cause an offense.

Are there absolutes? Some would say "No, I decide what is right and wrong,according to what I believe." but many would say, "Yes, there have to be absolutes,otherwise anything goes." If you were among those that don't believe in absolutes maybe you should think again. Do you believe I should be allowed to kill you without any consequences? Well you must, because if there are no absolutes then everyone decides what is right and wrong according to their own beliefs. So it would be ok for the guy in the airplane to kill the pilot and fly the plane into a building because there are no absolutes, and he is doing what he feels is right. Who are you to tell him that your absolutes are right, and his are wrong? You would be suggesting that you are a more superior being, and that would certainly be politically incorrect, because if you are superior than that would mean someone else is inferior(obviously). When you really study "political correctness" you will find that it takes either a very ignorant, or naive individual to really believe it.

What is the unforgivable sin(uh-oh, i said sin, politically incorrect) of pious, politically correct individuals? Intolerance. You must be totally tolerant of anything, and everything, which is completely asinine. It is impossible to be totally tolerant of everything, it just doesn't make sense in any way, shape, or form. How could you be tolerant of everything if there are intolerant people? Are you supposed to do away with the intolerant people? Who's to say that's ok? The founder of the philosophy? That would mean he was some sort of god to be worshiped, and that once again goes against the entire idea. It's a major flaw in the "system". Looking at political correctness is like "The Butterfly Effect" the cover looks really cool, but when you watch the movie it's completely flawed, and riveted with plot holes. That doesn't mean it didn't have some cool ideas, or scenes but as a whole it just doesn't work.

Well it's here(unofficially), but at least I have the trailer in High Definition goodness for your viewing pleasure. Evidently the trailer leaked May 12th(monday) and it is unofficial as of now. The release date is July 25th(It's probably going to change ).The trailer looks decent, my only suggestion would be: change the name? Ambos os filmes são de 1957, mas Funny Face é um filme único, que soma a simpatia de Fred Astaire, com passos de dança precisos e uma aparência quase fraternal, e Audrey Hepburn, tão doce e tão simpática como nunca se viu. Preciso enaltecera sua beleza aqui? Ela é graciosa e lépida. Somente isso já basta.

O filme é extremamente bem montado, com diálogos sagazes e seqüências inteligentemente rápidas, encontros e ocasiões em cenas imortalizadas pelo cinema. O primeiro momento romântico de Jo Stockton “Hepburn” e Dick Avery “Asteire” se dá em um estúdio de revelação fotográfica, a luz vermelha dilacerante somada aos flashs da aparelhagem da sala criam um ambiente incomum e apaixonado, que propositalmente ofusca o olhar do expectador.

A cena da chegada a Paris, quando todos se encontram a caminho da Torre Eiffel é épica, e o tom de nevoeiro em um dia ensolarado no momento em que chegam à capela dá ao filme um aspecto de sonho.

A capa oficial do filme mostra Audrey Hepburn enquanto dança, nessa cena, envolta pela fumaça nos sombrios cafés ou bares úmidos da cidade luz, como uma adega. Possuem aquele “ar” que todos imaginam de um bar da Paris noturna. Faz parte de um senso comum imaginar uma França engajada, repleta de artistas e filósofos por todos os lados. O filme usa essas imagens um pouco estereotipadas, para compor o cenário local, o que para a época pode ter sido até um pouco cômico, para nos hoje demonstra que desde sempre os franceses são vistos como pensadores existencialistas como Sartre, espalhados pela cidade, traduzindo sempre a empatia universal entre um povo sensato. Essas são impressões que o filme transmite, propositalmente ou não.

As músicas são impecáveis, muito bem compostas, ótimas letras e andamentos. A música do café é surpreendente, um jazz não ritmado hipnotizante.

De qualquer forma a protagonista é uma modelo, antes uma gata borralheira vinda de uma empoeirada livraria, e depois para as capas de revista iluminadas por vermelho, azul e branco. O charme esta nas cores. E a sua sensibilidade intelectual que dá a personagem o seu carisma.

Apesar de se ter tornado num dos casos mais célebres de filmes de culto, "Blade Runner - Perigo Iminente" não teve grande aceitação por parte da crítica, sendo apenas nomeado para dois Óscares: melhor direcção artística (Linda DeScenna, Lawrence G. Paull e David L. Snyder) e melhores efeitos visuais (David Dryer, Douglas Trumbull e Richard Yuricich).

A edição de 2007, o "final cut", serviu para assinalar os 25 anos do filme de culto e inclui novos planos e parte de uma sequência filmada de propósito para a edição especial.

I watched Hottie and the Nottie just last night and first all, I must state that I am not a Paris Hilton-aholic or anything like that, but I actually enjoyed this movie.

The movie starts with a girl breaking up with her loser boyfriend. Said boyfriend then goes on a quest to find the prettiest girl from this school, whom he's kept a picture of all these years. A point of fact, the picture of this pretty girl is from when she was 7. So once he finds this pretty girl, played by Paris Hilton, he discovers that she is single and will only date once she finds the perfect guy for her best friend, June, the ugliest girl from school.

After several attempts, including hypnotism, the perfect guy, Johann, comes into June's life. Johann is only interested in June due to the fact that after he fixes her face and body, June will be hot, but will still be grateful like an ugly girl, and that is what he's into.

This is when the movie starts to pick up, with some very humorous parts, including the main character, Nate, telling everyone that he is a stunt pilot in his spare time and likes to take children up to perform stunts for them, and endangring their lives in the process.

Eventually, Nate has a chance with Paris Hilton's character, Christabelle, but only after a very pathetic attempt of a relationship test. The test being, that Christabelle will show up to a costume party, dressed as a bride, telling everyone she wants to get married, then pretends to be very drunk. The test is that if Nate really cares for her, he will stick it out with her. So basically Paris Hilton is very drunk and wants to hook up and the relationship test is that he is the right guy if he sticks around.

So after this test and Nate is in the room with Christabelle, Nate realizes that he has feelings for June and that he has cared for her even before she was hot, so he goes to her and they end up together.

Even though the users of IMDB only gave this movie a combined rating of 1.4/10, this is completely undeserved. The movie has some pacing issues, particularly in the beginning, but it does pick up once Johann enters the picture, and is humorous for what it is, a Paris Hilton-trying-to-act-movie.

I would recommend this movie to anyone who liked the movie She's All That, which has basically the same plot, ugly girl turned hottie. Except in this movie, the ugly girl knows she is ugly and doesn't change her personality once during the entire movie, so she comes off as a completely realistic, well developed character, unlike Christabelle. Clearly, Christine Lakin (June) stole the show.

Quien saca mejor provecho es Janusz Kaminski, cuya versátil e imaginativa dirección de fotografía es claramente lo más articulado y memorable del film.
Depende del impacto del personaje central, y cierta musa poética, bonita como decoración, pero fatua.
Fotografía/Visual mimetiza arco dramático: Empezamos encerrados dentro del cuerpo del protagonista. Gradualmente vemos las cosas desde otra perspectiva.

Comunicación humana: ¿Qué dirías si sólo pudieras hablar una letra cada 30 segundos (aprox.)? ¿Qué pensarías si sólo pudieras pensar?
No trasciende. Se queda en lo adecuado/loable de ciertos departamentos de producción.
Personal. Vida real vs. Arte/Narración. Cuestión: El enfermo era editor de revista de modas y literato/intelectual, perfecto para brindarnos profundas disertaciones sobre su nuevo estado. ¿Personaje ideal para una película sobre este tema? ¿Demasiado ideal?
Mensaje bonito y cierto: Es la imaginación y la memoria. No hay más nada que eso.

Nu vreau sa fiu inteles gresit. Sunt multe filme ok care si-au gasit locul in ultima vreme in top 250 dar in opinia mea ele nu il merita. Sa nu-mi spuneti ca Finding Nemo si The Incredibles sunt mai valoroase ca "Dog Day Afternoon" ca va mananc. Intre un film cu un pestisor simpatic si unul in care Al Pacino arata ce inseamna sa fii un actor de valoare eu o sa-l aleg pe ultimul intotdeauna.

This film was let out into theatres in 1997. The movie has won 3 Genie Awards, along with the Claude Jutra Award, and other awards at the Atlantic Film festival. So, Hollywood decides at last to tell part of Shop Boy's life story and casts (drum roll) ... Will Smith. Yeah, I know. Nice thinking outside the box, guys. Sure, I'm tall, athletic, with a deep voice and I'm smooth with the ladies. But Hollywood's about fantasy, not Shop Boy's day-to-day humdrum studliness. Really, just check the photo at right.

It seems that a fellow believer in all things letterpress had been asked to serve as a technical adviser for a movie called Seven Pounds that's in production at Columbia Pictures in Hollywood. It's about a young woman (Rosario Dawson) with health problems who has a printing business. She has a Heidelberg Windmill and a broken-down old Miehle Vertical that she calls "The Beast." Out of nowhere, a guy (ahem, Mr. Smith) shows up with an offer to fix "The Beast." He restores the press and wins her heart.

Hmm. The Beast, you say? Windmill?

Lo poco que identifico es Buffy y Monk, pero no la recuerdo en estos momentos. Debería.
