DItfurth erzählt eine spannende Geschichte, gewürzt mit allen Zutaten: Action, Liebe und Verrat. Aber vor allen Dingen erzählt er von der erschreckenden Möglichkeit, die entstanden wäre, wenn Hitler beim Attentat gestorben wäre. Nicht eine Ära des Friedens und der Demokratie hätte begonnen. In Ditfurths alternativer Geschichte gewinnen die Nazis den Krieg - ohne ihren Führer. Und sie machen sich daran, auch den Rest der Welt zu erobern.

Ein ausserordentlich lesenswertes Buch. Eine der besten "alternative history" - Geschichte, die ich kenne. Und immer noch aktuell (auch wenn das Buch schon 2001 erschienen ist).

And what's the deal with the article claiming that "JFK chose Redding to establish himself as an environmentalist." ? He was inaugurating the completion of Whiskeytown Dam. Conservation is mentioned in his speech, but I don't know if dams are part of the "environmentalist" deal. So JFK was a big evironmentalist, now.

Recently at the Madame Tussaud's Waxwork Museum in Berlin, Germany, a man ripped off the head of Adolph Hitler's wax effigy. The 41-year-old German calmly stood in line; and when it was his turn to view the wax figure with vignette, representing Hitler in his office during World War II, he pressed through two guards and tore of Hitler's head, shouting, "No more war!"

Much controversy surrounded the inclusion of the wax figure of Hitler in the waxworks museum. The figure is being repaired now and will be returned.

A generation removed, this is just a small example of how much Israel, Germany, and Europe still need to heal. I believe God has a special calling between Germany and Israel, as a sign to the world of the power of forgiveness and redemption.

And many have dedicated their lives to seeing reconciliation between Germany and Israel. They have made much progress. One such group is the Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary, an order of Protestant nuns in Darmstadt, Germany, and Gateways Beyond International, in Cyprus, a Messianic Jewish discipleship school with a strong calling to both Israel and Germany.

The International Red Cross has ruled that the United States of America has engaged in a sanctioned program of torture at the U. S. Naval Facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. This finding by the world’s preeminent body on such matters, is an undeniable basis for future charges of “war crimes”.

The topics of “war crimes” and “crimes against humanity” seldom find their way into the forefront of my mind. When confronted with such topics I find myself reflecting upon names like Hitler, Stalin and the horrors they wrought. Although this finding by the International Red Cross is not remotely on the same order of magnitude; I am compelled to consider the meaning and impact of this shocking finding or torture. After all, throughout the storied history of this country, America has been held up as the world example for preserving freedom and elevating causes that serve humanity. Even then, the matter of the disposition and treatment of enemy combatants has been in question. Why? Primarily because of the treatment of thousands of United States and Allied servicemen by the Nazi’s and Japanese during World War II plummeted beneath any acceptable world standard of humane treatment. There is a standard. There are rules of war and those that govern the treatment of those held captive.

So what happened? How did the proud United States of America get here? Why are we now central to a discussion about something that this nation abhors and has historically opposed with such honor and passion? But perhaps most importantly, what have we accomplished by engaging in such horrid tactics and at what cost? These are the questions I hope many Americans attempt to answer if only as a matter of conscience. No doubt some would argue that “desperate times called for desperate measures”. Some might also argue that you must “fight fire with fire” (I wonder if that is what the Viet Cong were thinking?).

The brutal 9/11 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center was certainly the catalyst for an American response which I believed was justified. After all, “you don’t tug on Superman’s cape”. I was as shocked and angry as any American and in large part I remain so. In spite of the questions that continue to swirl around the conduct of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan today, I think most Americans knew we had cause to find those responsible and bring them to justice. But torture? That’s not what we Americans do. That’s not what we Americans stand for.

Sadly, at this juncture, there is little that we are being told by our government leadership about this matter that can be relied upon as truth. The truth is what we have done in engaging in a program of torture at Guantanamo Bay is wrong. In the future there may be cloudy arguments about what actually transpired. There may be attempts to justify the methods as necessity. There may be discussions which attempt to explain away the risks of water boarding or other torture procedures. There may never be anyone charged or held responsible. But there can be no questioning the well established standards of treatment for human prisoners be they enemy combatants or international detainees.

The International Red Cross has presented its case. I am not qualified to provide a true professional or ethical opinion on what torture may or may not be. I have only my moral instinct to rely upon in attempting to reconcile this within myself. My inability absorb and digest this in a way that is emotionally palatable has failed me. There is a “creepy factor” in the concept of torture that sickens me. It resides in my psyche along side such horrific concepts as rape, pedophilia, dismemberment and necrophilia. Something within this range of human horrors defies logic and implies cognitive imbalance or social deviance. Behavior, in this case, casts a macabre pall on the American image and legacy. Emblazoned is an indelible mark of evil that has national and global implications.

Just as our servicemen who were tortured in wars past, the detainee victims at Guantanamo Bay have had their lives changed forever. Some of whom, however few in number that may be, have committed no crime whatsoever. And as the world watched the criminal and sadistic behaviors of past evil regimes, today the world is again watching.

I have served. I have personally seen the product of conflict. I understand the mandates of the Geneva Conventions. Mine is the single voice of an American, a voice that represents little more than a whisper. And with this voice I say to the honorable among us that I am ashamed.

And to those who were wronged, and to the world as it watches: “I am sorry”.

Obama Calls For National Civilian Stasi

Presidential frontrunner Barack Obama has called for a “civilian national security force” as powerful as the U.S. military, comments that were ignored by the vast majority of the corporate media but compared by one journalist to the Nazi Hitler Youth.

“We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded,” Obama told a Colorado Springs audience earlier this month.

World Net Daily editor Joseph Farah asked if he was the only journalist in America who found Obama’s statement troubling.

“If we’re going to create some kind of national police force as big, powerful and well-funded as our combined U.S. military forces, isn’t this rather a big deal?” wrote Farah.

“Are we talking about creating a police state here? The U.S. Army alone has nearly 500,000 troops. That doesn’t count reserves or National Guard. In 2007, the U.S. Defense budget was $439 billion. Is Obama serious about creating some kind of domestic security force bigger and more expensive than that? If not, why did he say it? What did he mean?”

KnoxNews.com is seemingly the only other media outlet to express interest in exactly what Obama is proposing.

“The statement was made in the context of youth service. Is this an organization for just the youth or are adults going to participate? How does one get away from the specter of other such “youth” organizations from Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union when talking about it?” wrote Michael Silence.

Obama’s proposal smacks of an expanded version of an existing program in which hundreds of police, firefighters, paramedics and utility workers have been trained and recently dispatched as “Terrorism Liaison Officers” in Colorado, Arizona and California to watch for “suspicious activity” which is later fed into a secret government database.

It is also reminiscent of the supposedly canned 2002 Operation TIPS program, which would have turned 4 per cent of Americans into informants under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department.

TIPS lived on in other guises, such as the Highway Watch program, a $19 billion dollar Homeland Security-run project which trains truckers to watch for suspicious activity on America’s highways.

More recently, ABC News reported that “The FBI is taking cues from the CIA to recruit thousands of covert informants in the United States as part of a sprawling effort…..to aid with criminal investigations.”

Since authorities now define mundane activities like buying baby formula, beer, wearing Levi jeans, carrying identifying documents like a drivers license and traveling with women or children or mentioning the U.S. constitution as the behavior of potential terrorists, the bounty for the American Stasi to turn in political dissidents is sure to be too tempting to resist under Obama’s new program.

I think that the scariest part of all of this is how charismatic Obama is. Not only that, but anyone who attacks him on any point must be a right-winger, a racist or both. Nothing could be further from the truth. This isn't Obama's idea at all - it's just classical tyranny on steroids. He's just following the old model and updating it for the times. I'm plenty sure that if McCain is elected he'd think it is a pretty good idea, too.

Let me be clear: I do not support Obama. I do not support McCain. Our presidents run nothing - they just take orders.

L'histoire du film: L'Allemagne nazie a réussi a repousser les alliés lors du débarquement et règne en 1960 en sécurité sur l'Europe, l'URSS ayant été vaincu à Stalingrad. Le génécide juif n'existe pas officiellement car il a été caché par les nazis au reste du monde. Alors que les Etats-unis d'amérique et l'empire nazi s'appretent à se rapprocher diplomatiquement, un flic SS aidé d'un journaliste américain vont découvrir alors que la Shoah a eu lieu et vont tenter d'en avertir les USA.

Les + du film: c'est le seul film a avoir osé penser l'histoire de la seconde guerre mondiale autrement; la fiction de cette oeuvre aurait trés bien pu devenir réalité.

Les - du film: il aurait été plus interressant de faire une fiction dans laquelle la Shoah n'aurait pas eu lieu afin de rompre vraiment avec l'histoire officielle et d'imaginer quel aurait été cet autre monde mais le film aurait alors certainement été taxé de révisionniste.

La propagande du film: Et si les nazis avaient gagné la guerre, le monde serait-il à moitié détruit? Absolument pas. On peut raisonnablement penser que l'obsession raciale d'Hitler se serait atténuée avec les nouvelles générations. L'Europe serait un empire dirigée par les Germains, pour les germains, et la première puissance mondiale. Et Israël aurait quand même été créée étant donné que c'était un des objectifs d'Hitler dans les années 1930.  Et le génocide juif dans tout ça? Il est probable que les crimes nazis contre les juifs et les slaves auraient été volontairement amoindris afin qu'ils ne soulèvent pas plus d'indignation que ce que les crimes communistes n'en soulèvent de nos jours. On peut même avancer que Staline aurait remplacé Hitler dans les livres d'histoire et que le communisme serait interdit en Europe alors que le national-socialisme serait devenu aussi banal que les républicains ou les démocrates. Des "justiciers" allemands, dont certains nazis, auraient alors essayé de savoir la vérité sur l'holocauste et de la dévoiler au monde comme le propose l'histoire du film Le crépuscule des aigles. Là où le film se trompe certainement, c'est que les crimes nazis n'auraient pas eu beaucoup d'influence sur la politique des pays du monde vis à vis de l'Allemagne, pas plus que les crimes communistes n'en ont eu sur l'occident d'aujourd'hui. Et pour cause: les vainqueurs ayant toujours raison, l'Allemagne aurait fait son méaculpa vers 2050 comme l'ont fait les australiens envers les Aborigènes et ses excuses seraient passées comme une lettre à la poste. On peut, en revanche, imaginer qu'un Empire germain règant sur l'Europe après la seconde guerre mondiale aurait considérablement changé les donnes dans le monde arabo-musulman et palestinien. Finalement le message du film est que les vainqueurs ont toujours raison et les vaincus ont toujours tort.

La note blog: un film original et bien ficelée qui est "bizarrement" quasi introuvable dans le commerce. Allez savoir pourquoi... 10/10.

With this "civilian force", Obama has me frightened of what he and his organization have planned for the United States of America.

This is how Hitler got control of Germany. through his youth organization. This is not just politics anymore. This is our liberty. I think this man is very ill; there is something frightening within that head of his. Instead of his "unity", we're losing more freedom. ACORN tactics. No wonder he flip flopped on FISA. He's tried to censor and control the media and the internet from day one. He is like "Big Brother" watching and trying to control nearly every aspect of the media. What the hell was this democratic party thinking? Are they all crazy too?

"On the face of it my circumstances are better served by current tory policy.
But how much of it is down to political opportunism on the part of David Cameron. A fine and charismatic leader of the opposition he may be but ultimately will he honour his promises ?

And then there is the question of my being something of a lefty. Dare I say it, far left. I have for a long time held communist ideals. So why am I ever going to contemplate placing a X in a Tory box come election day?
In reality I'm not.

There is no such thing as a leading political party adopting a strong political stance any more and that saddens me.

My lack of faith with the world at large it seems is down to the myopic opportunist liars that flood parliament. They aren't true politicians. They stand for nothing. Merely to oppose, to spin or to just plain lie. You have no right being in politics if you cannot oppose government effectively and I believe that the iminent Tory government will of course destroy my will even further. Politicians are career politicians. They cannot represent you or I since they have no experience of you or I. Once a politician always a politician. Our ministers should have at least 10 - 15 years experience on the shop floor and then in a tier of management.

The future of mankind lies in the strength of society. People. The very backbone of civilisation that works to live and lives for reward.
Sadly society has no support. No effective representation within government.

Politicians have no character. They can't. Why? Simply put they are not allowed. Forced in to a perpetual cycle of public humiliation and apology at the hands of the press our politicians think about what they say and employ spin doctors to court the media. They cannot think for themselves and indeed probably do not have the core gut beliefs that the extreme minded scruffs such as Guevara and Hitler had. Not that I would ever condone guerilla warfare or the repulsive actions of the Nazi party but I freely admit to admiring both men for their strong will and determination in pursuing their goals. (Note: do not misinterpret this. My admiration for Hitler is restricted to his struggle out of Vienna and through the beer houses of Germany in his quest to establish his own party at a time when anyone and everyone was trying to form a party in that country. Admiration is limited and expires shortly thereafter.)

So all of this leads me to think that I have no representation in parliament. Neither Labour nor the Tories and certainly not the Liberals have anything to say that could influence my vote. UKIP gets a tick but not a cross.

I feel this way because I can. My personal belief is that this flavour of politics (slightly to the right but not too right wing) is here to stay. Nobody will be effective enough to oppose it. Socialism in the truest sense died decades ago. It will never return. Despite there being different political parties they will all just be different flavours of the same foul tasting right wing bullshit.
Those that aren't will be far too insignificant to be effective.

It's all just a game folks. You will have no heroes. There's nobody worth idolising and nobody left to represent you.

When you mix opportunist (surely the people of Glasgow East don't REALLY believe David Cameron?) politicians with no firm standpoint anywhere with a wishy washy electorate all you're ever going to get is the ebb and flow of shit and we the poor sods are forced to live with it.

The electorate at large don't know or understand what they're voting for so they read and digest headlines to form their opinion. Everybody just wants more money in their pocket to continue living in their 3 bedroom prison cells whilst ignoring their neighbours, destroying communities and driving their Audi's around the corner to work. The real threat to civilisation is not the environment. It never was. The ice age cometh regardless of our futile efforts at recycling.

No folks. The true threat to mankind has not changed in thousands of years.

So do I vote with my head or my heart? The problem is that there is nobody representing my heart and I doubt there ever will be."

Während des zweiten Weltkriegs diente die Türkei als ein sicherer Übergang für viele Juden, die dem Horror des Nationalsozialismus zu entkommen versuchten.

Während die jüdischen Gemeinden von Griechenland beinahe zur Gänze von Hitler ausgerottet worden sind, sind die türkischen Juden sicher geblieben. Verschiedene türkische Diplomaten, Botschafter Behic Erkin und Numan Menemencioglu, Generalkonsulen Fikret Sefik Özdoganci, Bedii Arbel, Selahattin Ulkumen; KonsulenNamik Kemal Yolga und Necdet Kent, um einige von denen zu nennen (Immanual Aboab, "A Consolacam as Tribulacoes de Israel, III Israel) haben sich mit ihrer ganzen Kraft bemüht die türkischen Juden vom Holocaust zu retten und waren auch erfolgreich.

Und wie war das mit den Muslimen? Report hat dazu recherchiert:

Was REPORT leider vergessen hat, zu erwähnen, ist die Tatsache, dass Amin el Husseini der Onkel Jassir Arafats war. Aber das wissen wir natürlich sowieso längst.

Dass in Nazideutschland Muslime und noch dazu türkische, verfolgt wurden, weil sie beschnitten waren, das sollen doch bitte die Herrn Islamfunktionäre denjenigen erzählen, die ihre Beinkleider mit der Kneifzange anziehen - oder eben österreichischen Gutmensch-Politikern. Dass Juden türkischer Nationalität zu Nazi-Opfern wurden steht außer Zweifel. 1942 erhoben die Türken eine Sondersteuer auf alle nichtmuslimischen Einwohner und trieben damit viele Juden aus dem Land und nicht selten direkt in die Arme der (noch) expandierenden Deutschen.

Wie schon zu osmanischer Zeit, verhängte die Republik Türkei 1942-1944 Sondersteuern über ihre nichtmuslimischen Bürger und schickte 4.000 bis 5.000 der schätzungsweise 28.000 als wohlhabend eingestuften Christen und Juden zur Zwangsarbeit, weil sie diese Steuern nicht aufbringen konnten.

Demnach sollte man den Aussagen des Herrn Güleryüz wohl nicht allzuviel Glauben schenken. Aber Türken lügen nicht, ganz zu schweigen von Muslimen. Sie haben nur eine etwas andere Sichtweise der Wahrheit als wir minderwertigen Kuffar.

Der islamische Antisemitismus im Nahen Osten Übrigens auch jemand, der auf Druck islamischer Verbände daran gehindert wurde, diesen Vortrag zu halten.

Auf der Spielkarte von Adolf Hitler ist u. a. vermerkt: „Führungsposition: 12 Jahre. Abführmittel: Selbstmord. Weiterführendes: Österreicher, Vegetarier, Hundefan. Berufswunsch: Kunstmaler, aber mangels Talent gescheitert.“

Verleger Volker Oppmann zu BILD: „Es stellt sich ja immer die Frage, wie gehen wir mit dunklen Kapiteln in unserer Geschichte um? Die Antwort: Spielerisch. Und deshalb sollte man es auch nicht zu ernst nehmen. Als wir das Spiel vorstellten, hatten wir die Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung als Standnachbarn. Und die haben gleich mehrere Quartette bestellt.“

Historiker Arnulf Baring (76) dagegen meint: „Eine Verharmlosung. Je weiter das Dritte Reich zurückliegt, desto bizarrer wird die Auseinandersetzung darüber. Zudem geht das Quartett von einer Gleichrangigkeit der Schurken aus, aber verglichen mit Hitler ist Mussolini ein Ehrenmann.“ (Ehrenmann würde ich jetzt nicht unbedingt sagen)

Berlins Innensenator Ehrhart Körting (66, SPD) nennt das Quartett: „Eine Geschmacklosigkeit.“

Autor Rafael Seligmann (60) ist anderer Meinung: „Das Geschäft mit Hitler ist im Grunde eine positive Entwicklung. Man beginnt über das Vergangene zu lachen – ein Meilenstein auf dem Weg zur Normalisierung.“

Politiker und auch die Historiker sind selbstverständlich hochgradigst entsetzt, was denn auch sonst. Schliesslich und endlich bedeutet die berühmte und hochgelobte Vergangenheitsbewältigung in Deutschland ja nichts anderes als die Fresse, den Mund zu halten, wenn es um das Thema WK2 geht.

O płaceniu cudzych rachunków - Romuald Szeremietiew

Natrafiłem na wiadomość opatrzoną tytułem: „USA ostro krytykują Polskę: wypłaćcie rekompensaty”. Czytam w niej, że „Amerykański Kongres wydał opinię w której piętnuję polski rząd za opóźnienie z wypłacaniem rekompensat za mienie zagrabione w latach wojny i PRL”. Tygodnik "Newsweek" na swojej stronie internetowej zauważa, że to najostrzejsza krytyka Polski po roku 1989. Wyjaśnia: „To skutek wieloletniego mobbingu Światowej Organizacji Żydowskich Restytucji czego efektem jest powstanie w czerwcu w obu izbach amerykańskiego parlamentu projektu rezolucji wzywające Polskę do wypłaty rekompensat za zagrabione majątki.” Przy czym Kongres USA oczekuje, że Polska zaspokoi roszczenie wszystkich, nie tylko tych osób pochodzenia żydowskiego. A to: „Według ekspertów, oznacza to, że obecny, a zwłaszcza przyszły lokator Białego Domu będzie wywierał presję na Polskę w celu uregulowania spraw roszczeń. Mówiąc wprost, może być tak, że USA w niczym nam nie pomogą, póki nie załatwimy sprawy roszczeń - prezydent USA będzie mógł wtedy mówić, że nic nie może zrobić, bo obliguje go rezolucja Kongresu.”

Nie ulega wątpliwości, że zawsze cudzą własność trzeba oddać prawowitemu właścicielowi. Powstaje jednak wątpliwość, czy w przypadku „opinii” Kongresu USA jedynym odpowiedzialnym powinno być państwo polskie. Trudno przecież uznać, aby za działania okupantów (w czasie II wojny światowej byli nimi Niemcy i Sowieci oraz ich kolaboranci) dziś odpowiadało państwo polskie, czyli jego obywatele płacący podatki.

Druga RP została w czasie II wojny światowej napadnięta, a jej obywatele ograbieni. Wydawałoby się więc słusznym, aby zadośćuczynili za to prawni spadkobiercy państw agresorów; w przypadku hitlerowskiej III Rzeszy - Republika Federalna Niemiec, a Związku Sowieckiego - Federacja Rosyjska.

Jednak strona niemiecka, coraz bardziej zapominająca o tym, co działo się przed 1945 r., domaga się dziś od Polski zwrotu majątków (związki przesiedlonych) znajdujących się na jej ziemiach zachodnich i północnych.

Nie ulega wątpliwości, że gdyby Niemcy wygrały II wojnę światową, to Polaków by wymordowali, a Polski i nie byłoby na mapie świata. Ten zamiar nie udał się.

A Niemcy w następstwie przegranej utraciły część swego terytorium na rzecz Polski, a także na rzecz Rosji (Królewiec). Obecnie zdają się mówić Polakom – dodajcie nam dobra, które były niemiecką własnością przed wojną. Innymi słowy agresor nie poczuwa się do żądnej odpowiedzialności za swoje czyny. Warto przy tym zauważyć, że Niemcy swoje pretensje kierują tylko pod adresem Polski. Nie widać, aby domagali się zwrotu majątków w Kaliningradzie.

A co Polacy mają powiedzieć odnosząc się do skutków działań drugiego okupanta, tego na wschodzie? Kongres amerykański nie domaga się od państw zajmujących dawne ziemie wschodnie RP, aby zwracały one majątki obywateli polskich.  Co więcej nawet na terenie Litwy, dodajmy członka NATO i UE, mieszkający tam Polacy do dziś mają ogromne trudności z odzyskaniem ziemi zagrabionej im jeszcze przez władze sowieckie. A np. w Wilnie ambasada USA mieści się  w budynku, który przed 1939 r. został zbudowany za pieniądze polskich harcerzy. Nigdzie nie spotkamy informacji, aby ambasador USA na Litwie starał się przekazać "harcówkę" prawowitemu właścicielowi, czyli Związkowi Harcerstwa Polskiego. Amerykańscy kongresmani nie oczekują też, że Federacja Rosyjska zwróci Polsce chociażby dzieła sztuki, księgozbiory i archiwa zagrabione przez Sowietów. Dodajmy, że w Polsce, inaczej niż to ma miejsce w Niemczech,  nikomu nie przychodzi do głowy, aby żądać zwrotu własności znajdującej się na byłych ziemiach kresowych II RP.

Wreszcie sprawa majątków zagrabionych w czasach PRL przez komunistów. Kongres USA uważa, że odpowiedzialność w tej mierze także ponosi obecne państwo polskie. Tak jakby po zakończeniu wojny Polacy wybrali sobie komunizm i aprobowali komunistyczne rządy. Politycy z Waszyngtonu zapominają, że prezydent USA, współdziałając z premierem Wielkiej Brytanii i działając za plecami polskiego rządu, zdradzając polskiego sojusznika, oddał Polaków w komunistyczną niewolę. Agentura sowiecka mogła rządzić Polską przez kilkadziesiąt lat w rezultacie zgody USA wyrażonej w Teheranie i Jałcie. W następstwie tych porozumień Polska utraciła niepodległość, ponad połowę swego terytorium państwowego, a komunistyczny aparat terroru wymordował tysiące polskich patriotów. Wszystko więc co się stało na ziemiach polskich pod rządami komunistów było w poważnym stopniu następstwem zmowy prezydenta Franklina Roosevelta i premiera Winstona Churchilla  z dyktatorem Josifem Stalinem.

Druga wojna światowa wybuchła dlatego, że kanclerz Niemiec Adolf Hitler wcześniej planując jej wybuch zyskał cennego sojusznika, Stalina, dzieląc się z nim Polską. W 1944 r. Stalin znalazł na Zachodzie kontrahentów, którzy za pomoc w pokonaniu Niemiec ofiarowali mu całą Polskę. Czy dziś państwo polskie ma płacić "rachunki" za pakt Ribbentrop-Mołotow oraz za porozumienia z Teheranu i Jałty?

O QUE É: O serviço online da Microsoft é uma faca de Guinsu: precisamente afiada, mas seu fio de corte é muito tenue. Ou seja, é um excelente serviço (eu diria o melhor do genero)... para um publico-alvo bastante restrito. Vc se encaixa no perfil para viver e amar a Live?

Então aconteceu que alguém na Microsoft teve uma idéia brilhante: "ei, e se usassemos a internet para que moleques remelentos ao redor do mundo inteiro pudessem jogar uns contra os outros?". Essa idéia foi muito boa e aclamada como brilhante e esse cara teria recebido o titulo de dono de um país menor como Andorra ou o Brasil pela M$, se não fosse o camarada que teve uma idéia mais brilhante ainda: "ei, e se fizessemos isso e não só cobrassemos, mas cobrassemos duas ou tres vezes pelas coisas?". Esse cara é tão brilhante que hoje em dia ele nem trabalha mais, apenas passeia pelos corredores da divisão de games da Microsoft e as pessoas apontam para os estagiarios "esse é aquele cara que teve a idéia de cobrar tres vezes por um mesmo serviço"

Começando esta resenha pelos pontos positivos, e a XBOX Live tem varios, pode-se dizer que a rede é bastante solida. O que significa que ela não cai, não trava, não fecha para manutenção. Eu jogo World of Warcraft faz um ano e meio mais ou menos e ja testemunhei varios e varios problemas com servers que dá vontade de você virar jogador de futebol só para jogar no Flamengo e espancar umas prostitutas. A Live não tem nada disso, ela esta sempre lá, domingos e feriados.

Outro ponto muito positivo da Live são os demos. Jogar o demo do jogo antes de gastar 60 doletas nele é uma idéia muito boa, tanto que eu não sei pq a M$ não torna isso tipo obrigatório. Existem jogos uqe vc não dá nada por ele e no demo vê que ... bem, ele não vale nada mesmo. Isso salva dinheiro e torna as pessoas felizes. E demos bem feitos geram um efeito de "OMFG! EU PRECISO DESSE JOGO! LANCEM LOGO SEUS MALDITOS!". Army of Two, por exemplo

O serviço é muito popular e dificilmente vc tem dificuldade de encontrar alguem para desafiar nos jogos mais populares. E mesmo que tenha e que vc só conheça por acaso uma pessoa que jogue Enchanted Arms as 3 da tarde de terça feira, o sistema é muito organizado para gerenciar seus amigos, contatos, canais de voz. Sabe o tipo de coisa que vc pensa "hm, seria legal se eu tivesse onde ver... ei, tem!. O sistema de menus da Live é tão bem feitinho e tão organizado que até alguem perdido como eu não leva mais que alguns instantes pra descobrir os lançamentos enquanto eu estive fora ou o que eu ja baixei de demos, enfim. Enfim, organização e praticidade é a palavra aqui e a Square-Enix devia ter umas aulas com a Microsoft sobre como criar um sistema organizado e não algo do tipo "AH EU ODEIO ESSA PORRA GOD PLEASe KILL ME!!!". Como bonus plus vc ainda pode usar o msn enquanto joga (hm, pensando bem isso é uma coisa que soa muito melhor na teoria do que na pratica), assistir filmes, séries e o diabo a quatro. A rede é exatamente o que ela se propõe a ser: um centro virtual de entretenimento. Vc loga, joga, assiste filmes, suas séries favoritas, conversa, compra jogos, convence sua amiga que tomou 8 smirnoffs a mostrar os peitos na cam, a maioria dessas coisas quase ao mesmo tempo e tudo funciona, a vida é bela e o paraiso custa 8 dolares por mês!

Muito legal, muito bonito, muito eficiente (eficiencia é uma coisa que não pode ser reclamada na LIVE) mas... é, sim, o bom e velho MAS...

Vamos aos problemas, eu sei que vcs estavam esperando essa hora até pq "viveram felizes para sempre" não dá boas histórias e o que vale mesmo é contar quando a vaca vai pro brejo, como Tolkien disse.

Então pra começar a coisa mais encaputante, ao menos na minha opinião: você paga três vezes pelo serviço. Isso mesmo: UMA, DUAS, TRÊS VEZES PELO MESMO SERVIÇO!!! Caralho, onde esses robãozinhos estavam com a cabeça? Sim, exatamente: na Microsoft.
Vejamos: vc paga quando compra o jogo, uma. Vc paga a assinatura gold (sem ela vc não pode jogar), duas. Vc paga Microsoft Points (uma "moeda virtual" da M$ que vc compra com dinheiro real) para qualquer merda alem de jogar online. Lançaram uma pista nova para o seu jogo de corrida favorito? Que bom que vc ja paga a mensalidade né? Pq isso não faz diferença nenhuma, toma M$ Points do seu bolso.

Até nem é tanto pelos preços que nem são tão caros (a assinatura Gold esta 8 dolaveis por mes e 500 MS points (uma atualização custa por volta de 400 MSP) sai por 6,25. Individualmente não são valores altos, mas a Microsoft construiu um shopping que vc paga pra entrar, paga pra sentar no banco e paga pelo hamburger. Cobrar três vezes sobre um produto é absurdo, é uma questão de principios. São mordidinhas pequenas, mas ainda mordidinhas, que com o tempo vão incomodando. Sobretudo se vc não ganha em dolar.

"Repare nos "NOVOS MAPAS! DOWNLOAD AGORA!" para o jogo PErfect Dark Zero e pense comigo: estes mapas são conteudo para o modo versus do multyplayer então vc tem que pagar o jogo, pagar a assinatura gold e pagar os mapas em si. Bacana, não? Eu não sei quanto a vocês, mas quando eu to jogando na Live eu realmente fico com medo de peidar pq parece que a qq momento a M$ vai querer me cobrar por isso tambem..."

Outro problema da Live não é exatamente culpa da Microsoft, mas é um fenomeno que não tem como deixar de incomodar: a média de usuario da Live é composta por piás 14 anos mal educados pra caralho. Tipo imagine o fanboy que comentou no post anterior sobre o Wii. Agora imagine ter que jogar SEMPRE com esse tipo de gente. Vc pode ignorar uma ou duas ou três vezes, mas no fim se torna tão massante que seu unico recurso é jogar com o voice channel desligado e isso faz perder muito da experiencia. Jogos mais populares como Halo e Winning Eleven definitivamente não pode ser jogados com audio pq é um puta saco aquela piazada e isso não é uma constatação somente minha mas de qualquer um que ja passou da puberdade e não precisa usar as coisas mais idiotas pra se afirmar como pessoa. A Live tem também uma caracteristica bem sacada pela M$ pq evita muitas dores de cabeça pra ela, mas é chato pros usuarios. O que acontece é o seguinte: a maior parte do conteudo (filmes, seriados, desenhos, jogos do XBOX) não pode ser baixada fora dos USandA ou Europa. Eles conhecem seu IP e sabem onde vc esta. Porque isso? Porque a Microsoft não quer se responsabilizar por questões de conteudo em paises em que a Live não foi oficialmente lançada. Ou vc iria querer problemas com o governo da China ou do Irã por permitir que seus cidadãos utilizem material proibido naquelas terras? E infelizmente como não há previsão de lançamento da Live no Brasil, em terras tupiniquins toda parte de midia da LIVE esta fora do alcanse de nossos dedinhos. Realmente uma grande perda.

Em contrapartida a parte de jogos ainda é plenamente acessivel e possui uma variedade de titulos que valem cada MS Point gasto. Estou falando de Bomberman, Castlevania SOTN, Puzzle Quest, Street Fighter II entre outros grandes titulos. Se tem uma coisa que não dá pra reclamar é do acerto de jogos da XBL.

O que nos leva a um dos acontecimentos mais interessantes ainda: a microsoft tinha dois problemas que queria resolver na Live. O primeiro eram os jogos hackeados (que não chegaram a existir, foi uma atitude próativa) para que usuarios nunca errassem um headshot ou tivessem vida infinita, enfim. O segundo problema eram as cópias, pq o cidadão comprava um jogo original, fazia uma cópia e caso o DVD desse pau ele não precisaria comprar outro (que é o que a M$ imensamente gostaria). Então o que eles fizeram? Baniram da Live TODOS os consoles com modificações de hardware para que nenhuma das coisas acima acontecesse.

Como efeito colateral, tambem foi banida da Live uma modificação de hardware muito comum no Brasil mas simplesmente inexistente nos US and A ou Europa: a capacidade de ler jogos piratas. Isso mesmo, jogo "alternativo" na live é BAN pro console e sinto muito se vc tinha account, MS Points ou o diabo. O que significa que é muito dificil encontrar brasileiros na Live, pq lá só jogos originais tem seu lugar ao sol.

Mas voltando a falar de jogos, me ocorreu outro problema que pra mim é muito sério e um dos maiores da Live: a maioria dos modos multiplayer é exatamente igual. Se vc pegar Gears of War, Halo, Call of Duty, Bomberman ou Enchanted ARms ou qualquer jogo de ação os modos de jogos online serão basicamente os mesmos. Deathmatch, pegar a bandeira, rei da colina, são tres ou quatros modos de jogo que vc ve SEMPRE em todos os jogos e pra mim isso é um puta disperdicio de potencial. Halo 3 por exemplo tem uma ambientação foda, veiculos e a armas legais, poderia ser tipo um Battlefield 2 onde vc é apenas um no meio de uma guerra mas não, são apenas disputas muito limitadinhas.
Eu não sou uma pessoa competitiva e apreciaria muito mais opções de Co-op nos jogos que quando existem são bugadas. Gears of War é o exemplo perfeito de como o Co-op não funciona: quando seu parceiro online desconecta o jogo não faz a IA assumir o personagem, ao contrário, o jogo simplesmente desconecta e vc tem que recomeçar a fase. Eu não iria reclamar de um modo Co-op em Halo, onde tem tantos veiculos para vc dirigir ou ser gunner. O mesmo vale para o conteudo extra, vendido através dos MS Points: se vc não é um cara do PVP, então as empresas não gostam de vc.

Sério, essa é uma politica muito, muito, muito imbecil.
Ok, PVP é legal, mas quando é SÓ isso e sempre do mesmo jeito acaba perdendo a graça. Poucos jogos dão muita atenção aos recursos da Live, a impressão que dá é que eles são só jogados lá de qq forma pra vc matar outros players dentro de uma sala com a engine do jogo. Sempre a mesma coisa só mudando o layout parece uma perda de potencial enorme.

Bomberman da Live, por exemplo, só tem aquele modo battle 4x4. Porra, o que custava colocar o modo co-op, é uma das coisas que eu mais gostava de jogar. Esse é apenas um exemplo dessa politica de "PVP RLZ E VAI TER SÓ ISSO HAUAHUAHUA". Que me ocorra agora, Army of Two é o unico jogo que usa os recursos da Live pra algo alem de "ok crianças, vc estão nessa sala agora se matem". Um verdadeiro e triste desperdicio de potencial.

E pra terminar essa resenha sobre o serviço a cereja do bolo: pague para entrar, reze para sair.
A pangordinagem sacana da Microsoft extrapolou a falta de vergonha na cara até para os padrões dessa empresa. Eu não sou um comunista de fim de semana, não tenho nada contra o império capetalista do mau (na verdade meio que admiro), mas essas tentativas desesperadas e sem vergonhas de arrancar dinheiro incomodam até a mim.

Funciona assim: entrar na live é muito facil. Vc só precisa conectar, informa seu passaporte do msn, seu cartão de crédito e papow, ja era, é uma criança livre pra aprontar altas confusões. Agora pra sair, como diria Galvão Bueno, é teste pra cardiaco meu amigo.
Pq não existe uma opção de cancelar a account ou voltar pro modo silver online nem na internet nem nada. Só existe um modo: pegar um telefone, ligar para os US and A, falar com a atendente e pedir pra parar de ser cobrado. Sacanagem pouca é bobagem e uma empresa do tamanho da Microsoft não precisava dessa molecagem, sim pq isso é uma MOLECAGEM pra ganhar uns centavinhos a mais. Coisa de timinho.

Recomendação do C: Como eu disse no fim das contas a Live é um bom serviço mas para um perfil muito especifico de usuario. Se vc é um PVP hardcore e não se importa de jogar as mesmas coisas over and over and over again enquanto vc auto-afirme sua masculinidade como sendo o fodão e matando personagens de desconhecidos que são muito menos masculos que vc e fazem coisas até meio gays como ter uma vida social e ter contato com membros do sexo oposto, a Live é o seu lar. Para o resto dos demais meros mortais, é um serviço casual que é altamente questionavel se vale mesmo 8 dolares por mês. I dont think so, i dont think so...
