I started searching for all my favorite singers and specifically for live performances. I was amazed to find some pretty great footage. One of my favorite singers, ranked number 4,  is Linda Eder. She was pattering to the audience and began saying that some of her critics like to say that she is a Barbra Streisand wanna-be. She went on to say that it's not true. And then she sang Don't Rain on My Parade.

 Who are we kidding?

Linda Eder and every other belter that has come on the scene since has been a Barbra Streisand wanna-be. And where is the shame in that? she is the greatest singer, the greatest voice of the last century in popular music. Second only over all to the great Callas. I though it was bad form on Ms. Eder's part also because early in here career she sounded like Babs. Now she is starting to dress like Barbra, which unfortunately is doing her no favors. I love ya Linda but it's time to get real. We all wanna be like Babs.
